Sporting News published its preseason All-America teams on Tuesday morning.
The SEC combined to produce 12 selections across both teams, with 5 SEC players earning spots on the 1st team. Georgia led the way with 4 representatives while LSU isn’t far behind with 3.
UGA tight end Brock Bowers headlines the list after winning the Mackey Award last season. He’s widely-regarded as one of the top tight ends in the country and will likely be a high pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Quinshon Judkins, Harold Perkins and Jamon Dumas-Johnson all made the 1st team following breakout campaigns in 2022.
