The Orange and Blue Debut has proved to be a big boost for Florida on the recruiting front. Jim McElwain picked up two commitments on Friday, the day of the Gators’ spring game, and has added three more on Saturday.

The most recent pledge comes from Corey Gammage, a 3-star wide receiver out of Atlantic (Delray Beach, Fla.)

While UF had claimed to the top of the 2019 rankings on the 247Sports Composite, the 2018 class was in need of adding a prospect like Gammage. The wideout bumped Florida up from No. 30 nationally to No. 21, and from No. 8 to No. 6 in the SEC.

The Gators now have five commitments lined up for next February’s signing day. Gammage showed strong interest in Miami, and also had SEC offers from Auburn and Kentucky.
