Miami will be taking on Alabama in the Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium Atlanta on Sep. 4, the first meeting between the 2 programs since 1993. While the question will be whether or not we see Hurricanes quarterback D’Eriq King as he recovers from an ACL tear, one of his primary offensive targets is taking the next step in his career.
Canes junior tight end Brevin Jordan announced on Thursday evening that he is exiting Miami and will prepare for the NFL Draft. He posted a statement to his Twitter account revealing the news.

As he mentioned in the statement, Jordan was recruited to Miami by Mark Richt out of high school power Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas, joining the program in Richt’s final season in Coral Gables.
He totaled 105 catches for 1,358 yards and 13 touchdowns, including 38 catches, 576 yards, and 7 touchdowns in 2020. In the Cheez-It Bowl against Oklahoma State, he was good for 8 receptions for 96 yards and 2 touchdowns.
He placed on the All-ACC postseason list in all 3 seasons, earning 2nd-team honors in 2018 and 2020 and 1st-team accolades in 2019.
