Star Ole Miss player Breein Tyree keeping options open after Andy Kennedy resignation

Some players commit to play for schools, but others only commit to those schools because of the coaches who are there.
Therefore, it’s no surprise that Ole Miss coach Andy Kennedy’s resignation this week has players considering their futures in Oxford.
Star point guard Breein Tyree, who is averaging 9.7 points, 2.6 assists and 2.1 rebounds per game as a sophomore this year, said on Monday that he’s going to keep his options “100 percent open” heading into the offseason:

“I’m keeping my options 100 percent open,” he told Ole Miss reporter Davis Potter. “At the end of the day, I’ve got to do what’s best for me. I came to Ole Miss to be a Rebel. I love the university. Depending on the coaches they bring in, I’ll definitely look at them. I’m not saying I’m transferring. I’m not saying I’m staying. I’m just keeping my options open.”
The Rebels can’t afford to lose the talented guard, so it’ll be interesting to see who they decide to hire as the next head coach of the program.
