Carlay’s commitment comes one day after he tweeted that he received an offer from Virginia. According to 247Sports, Carlay measures 6-foot-5, 265 pounds and is rated as the No. 12 prospect in the state of State Carolina. He received a previous offer from North Carolina State and was also being recruited by North Carolina.
The Gamecocks now have five players committed for the class for 2017.
