Well, stats don’t lie, either.
College football recruiting is an inexact science. Very rarely is there a ‘sure thing’ when it comes to a prospect — particularly in regards to the quarterback position. One decent signal-caller could be the difference between a head coach getting a contract extension and getting fired.

Quarterback play under Les Miles has been a big point of consternation during his time at LSU. Traditionally possessing a very strong ground game, it’s been able to somewhat mask deficiencies at the position.
When looking at this tweet, the ‘hit-rate’ on quarterbacks has not been stellar (to say the least) for Miles in Baton Rouge. It truly doesn’t matter if this stems from the lack of developing the quarterbacks on the roster, or whether the staff has a problem evaluating high school talent.
The hope has to be that this trend does not continue into the future.
