Arkansas added to its 2024 recruiting class this weekend. In-state linebacker Wyatt Simmons has decided to stay home and play for Sam Pittman’s program.

Simmons, from Searcy, Arkansas, announced his commitment to the Razorbacks on Saturday. He shared the big news on social media.

Simmons plays for Harding Academy High School. Paul Simmons, Wyatt’s father, is the head football coach at Harding University, a Division II program.

Wyatt Simmons is listed as measuring 6-3 and 215 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Simmons is rated 3-stars, the No. 8 recruit in the state of Arkansas, No. 68 linebacker and No. 766 prospect overall in the Class of 2024.

Simmons picked up scholarship offers from 21 schools during his recruitment, with Arkansas getting involved in May. Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas are among the other schools that showed interest.

With Simmons on board, Arkansas now has 18 commitments in its 2024 class, which ranks No. 20 nationally on the Composite. Hog fans can get a preview of what Simmons brings to Fayetteville by checking out his junior season highlights below, via Hudl:
