Staying home: LSU lands 2024 commitment from 4-star in-state DB

Joel Rogers is staying home to play for DBU. The blue-chip prospect from Saint Francisville, Louisiana, has committed to play for LSU.
Rogers announced his commitment to the Tigers during a ceremony at the West Feliciana High School gymnasium. Rogers also had hats on the table for Alabama, Tennessee, Texas and TCU.

Rogers’ listed measurements are 6-feet, 180 pounds. On the 247Sports composite rankings, Rogers is rated 4-stars, the No. 8 Louisiana recruit, No. 30 safety and No. 304 prospect overall nationally in the Class of 2024.
With Rogers on board, LSU now has 16 pledges in its 2024 recruiting class, which is ranked No. 7 on the Composite. Rogers’ highlights can be viewed below, via Hudl:
