Stetson Bennett scores first TD for Georgia, giving UGA lead over Tennessee

Stetson Bennett scored the first touchdown of the top-ranked showdown in Athens between Georgia and Tennessee.
The Vols got on the board first, getting 3 points off of an opening-drive turnover by the Bulldogs. On UGA’s second drive, Bennett made sure the Dawgs reached the end zone.
Georgia’s 5-play, 80-yard scoring drive was capped with a 13-yard touchdown run by Bennett. The quarterback managed to hit the pylon before flying out of bounds.

With the extra point, Bennett’s run put Georgia up 7-3 in the first quarter.
Bennett started 3-of-6 passing for 62 yards, with 52 of those yards coming on a long throw to Arian Smith. The TD run was his only rush of the first 2 possessions. Kenny McIntosh has 3 carries for 35 yards.
It’s still 7-3 with 6:30 left in the opening quarter. The game is airing on CBS.
