Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa was considered to be the favorite to win the 2018 Heisman Trophy before he struggled in the SEC title game due to a lingering injury and missed the second half.

That opened the door for Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray to swoop in and win the trophy, and now many consider Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence to be the favorite for the 2019 season.

However, after the Orlando Apollos improved to 5-0 with a win over the Birmingham Iron on Saturday, Orlando coach Steve Spurrier said he thinks Tagovailoa should be considered the leader for the 2019 Heisman:

If Tagovailoa can stay healthy, he certainly has a chance to win the trophy this time around. However, Lawrence and the Tigers loom large once again as the Tide’s biggest threat for a national title.

Whatever happens on the gridiron this fall, it should be a lot of fun to watch.
