Steve Spurrier has zero-tolerance for domestic violence-related issues at South Carolina.

“If you ever hit a girl, you’re finished,” Spurrier said at SEC Media Days.

His stance on marijuana use by players is a bit different.

Finishing up his appearance on ESPN’s SEC coaches’ ‘Car Wash’ segment Tuesday in Bristol, the Head Ball Coach opened up about the disciplinary action he takes when players are busted for smoking weed.

“You can smoke pot and get lectured on it — three pots and you’re finished — and we have our rules for all our other things,” Spurrier said. “We haven’t had anything happen (with domestic violence) in about eight years now, so I think it’s a good rule and if you enforce it it’s really helpful.”
