Nick Saban will turn 70 on Halloween, but the legendary coach is still going strong at Alabama, having just won a national title in 2020.

Steve Spurrier knows a thing or 2 about coaching at 70, as that’s when he ended his legendary career.

On Wednesday’s edition of “The Paul Finebaum Show,” Spurrier explained that, while he could see Saban staying another 10 years, a bad season would likely expedite his retirement:

Saban has said he’ll coach as long as he feels he’s doing a good job. If the Tide suffer multiple losses in a season, would that wear on him?

That’s a question we might not have to answer for a while, as Saban still seems happy and his teams are still playing and recruiting well. Will we be having this same conversation in 2032?
