Texas A&M freshman wide receiver Quartney Davis will miss the 2016 season due to ACL surgery, head coach Kevin Sumlin announced Thursday.

Davis rated as a four-star prospect and ranked as the No. 129 overall prospect for the 2016 national recruiting class, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He recorded 961 yards and 10 touchdowns on 53 receptions, as well as two kick returns for touchdowns as a senior.
