Former LSU DE Sione Teheuma, who was suspended indefinitely in the spring, has left the team and joined the Southeastern Tigers, an FCS school in Louisiana.
247Sports’ Sonny Shipp reported earlier that Teuhema was showing up on Southeastern’s roster. The news was confirmed by The Advocate’s Ross Dellenger.

Teuhema played in 16 games, recording 20 tackles and a pair of sacks. He notched a career-high seven tackles in the Eastern Michigan game last season. His younger brother, Maea Teuhema, is a sophomore left tackle expected to start for LSU this fall.
As Dellenger notes, the older Teuhema’s future at LSU appeared doubtful with the announcement of the suspension on April 9:
Coach Les Miles said then that he’s unsure “the suspension will conclude ever.” In May, the coach said he hadn’t made a decision on the rising junior’s future. Teuhema will “make” the decision for himself, Miles said then, by taking a class this summer.
