Switching things up: Georgia linebacker Keyon Brown legally changes his name
If you scan the rosters Georgia provides this fall, you’ll no longer see Keyon Brown listed. There is a pretty good reason for that, Keyon Brown is no longer on the team.
No, he hasn’t left the program, but instead, Keyon Brown has legally changed his name to Keyon Richardson.
In his four seasons in Athens, Richardson has served mostly as a scout team member. He saw his first action on the field for the Bulldogs last season at linebacker after beginning his UGA career as a defensive lineman.
Georgia confirmed the news on Tuesday:
From #UGA: Senior outside linebacker Keyon Brown has legally changed his name to Keyon Richardson and will be listed on any future rosters etc. as Keyon Richardson. pic.twitter.com/joTcNJTet3
