T.J. Finley arrest details emerge as Auburn QB’s status becomes more clear

T.J. Finley is reportedly back on campus and with teammates at Auburn as he returns to the team following an arrest by local police in Auburn.
Finley reportedly did not wear a helmet while riding a moped, Tom Green of AL.com reported, and Finley and his lawyer met with police about outstanding tickets. He’s not currently in custody. Justin Hokanson of On3 Sports reported that if you didn’t know the news, by the looks of Finley’s behavior with teammates, you’d think everything was normal with him.
The original report suggested that Finley was charged with an “attempt to elude” police.
It’s unclear if this would impact the quarterback battle at Auburn between Finley and Texas A&M transfer Zach Calzada.
I’m told this stems from a traffic violation for failure to wear a helmet while riding a moped https://t.co/u2wd6x3MwI

A little more context on TJ Finley’s arrest. He went with his lawyer to the police today to take care of outstanding tickets. I’m told he’s already back on campus and not currently in custody.

this thing sounds very overblown, so I wouldn’t spend too much time worrying about it
maybe some poor decision making, but nothing all that serious https://t.co/Jd6NA5WXoa
