After three impressive seasons, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers want to make sure Mike Evans isn’t leaving any time soon.

The Bucs picked up a fifth-year option on Evans before preseason for Year 4 even gets started.

Evans was the No. 7 overall pick for Tampa Bay in the 2014 draft. By picking up the contract option, the Bucs are holding onto Evans for the 2018 season. The goal, however, is keep to him with the team even longer.

Evans and former villain to the SEC Jameis Winston give Tampa Bay an exciting future on offense. In three seasons, Evans has logged 238 catches for 3,578 yards and 27 touchdowns in 46 games.
