With spring finally here and summer fast approaching, programs all across the country are starting to hone in on who they want to fill out their respective recruiting classes in the 2027 cycle.

Likewise, the nation’s top rising high school seniors are starting to narrow their options as they search for the college program and coaching staff they believe best fit their skill sets.

Georgia native and elite 4-star safety Ta’Shawn Poole is being pursued by just about every top program in the country, but Hayes Fawcett reports that the highly coveted defender has officially narrowed his options down to just 6 programs.

Per Fawcett, Poole has 4 SEC schools in his top 6 in LSU, Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee, with Clemson and FSU rounding out the list of programs still in contention for his commitment.

The Macon, Georgia product possesses prototypical Power 4 safety measurables at 6’1 and 195 pounds, and he currently ranks among the top 60 players in the country according to 247Sports.

Each of these programs will be battling it out over the next 8 months as they look to add one of the most coveted safety prospects in the nation to their respective secondaries for 2027 and beyond.
