In the first 2 quarters of the College Football Playoff National Championship, it’s all Georgia. TCU looks brutally overmatched playing against the top-ranked Bulldogs.

Georgia’s first 6 possessions resulted in 38 points. TCU’s only “stop” on defense in the first half was holding UGA to a field goal after the Horned Frogs turned the ball in their own territory. Max Duggan and company managed one touchdown drive that was carried by a 60-yard pass play to Derius Davis.

Georgia’s defense recorded 3 takeaways, including 2 picks of Duggan, a Heisman Trophy finalist. The Dawgs have 17 points off turnovers in just the first half.

TCU has been called a Cinderella story, winning 13 games and making the national title game after a 5-7 season in 2021, but Monday looks like midnight for the Horned Frogs as they trail 38-7. The difference in talent is on display in a major way.

After 2 instant-classic semifinals, the CFP is in danger of losing some of its non-Georgia national audience as the Dawgs make it a blowout.
