Has Rocky Top gotten into his head?
Tennessee fas sure hope so. Four-star receiver Amari Rodgers has announced via Twitter that he will not play football for the USC Trojans after all.
Rodgers, previously a USC commit, also plays safety for Knoxville (Tenn.) Catholic. The Trojans recently promoted interim coach Clay Helton to permanent head coach.

Ironically, Tee Martin, the former Tennessee quarterback, is listed on 247Sports as Rodgers’ main recruiter at USC, which still could get his signature on National Signing Day.
Oh, and Martin is Rodgers’ father. So there’s that.
Helton fired four assistants Sunday, according to the Los Angeles Times, but Martin — a key recruiter — was one of the men he retained.

USC still should remain the favorite, as long as Martin coaches there. Rodgers has expressed a keen interest in playing for his dad.
Clemson and Tennessee also appear to be choices drawing consideration from Rodgers.
