Tennessee is raising its price of football tickets for the 2025 season. While increased ticket prices is not uncommon, the Vols have revealed this price hike is specifically geared towards the upcoming revenue sharing that will become commonplace in college athletics.

According to Adam Sparks with the Knox News, Tennessee will raise ticket prices and the required donations that accompany the tickets by an average of 14.5% next year. The majority of the new cost will contribute to a “talent fee” to pay players.

Tennessee informed season-ticket holders with an email on Tuesday, complete with a video from AD Danny White detailing the move.

“We’ve come a long way in the last few years. In this new era, it’s going to get a lot more expensive,” White told Knox News. “But there’s also going to be a closer relationship between resources and competition than there ever has been before. And our biggest asset is our fan base.”

According to the breakdown of the increase, 10% of the 14.5% increase will be allocated for the “talent fee” to help fund the revenue-sharing model.

It certainly is a new era for college athletics, and fans can likely expect for more increases with the top programs soon entering into revenue sharing with their athletes.
