Tennessee announces it’s going ‘Dark Mode’ for Oklahoma game

The No. 14 Tennessee Volunteers are set for another massive SEC test this weekend, as the No. 18 Oklahoma Sooners are coming to Neyland Stadium for a night game under the lights in Knoxville.

This pivotal midseason tilt between the 2 SEC powerhouses is sure to have some massive postseason implications for both the winner and the loser as they head into the home stretch of their respective SEC schedules.

If there’s one thing that Tennessee knows how to do better than just about anybody else, it’s create an elite atmosphere for a big-time home game, and it looks like they’ll be doing just that this Saturday, as the team just announced via social media that it will be wearing its iconic all-black alternate uniforms against the Sooners.

The Vols announced that they will be going “dark mode” against the Sooners on Saturday night in an epic Tron-inspired hype video that was released on the program’s official X account.

Tennessee debuted its now-famous black out uniforms back in 2021, and they have worn them once a year since then, currently boasting a perfect 4-0 record when they wear the blacked-out version of their iconic threads.

Now, they’ll be looking to push that record to 5-0 this Saturday when they take on the Sooners in what looks to be a must-win matchup heading into November.
