Tennessee has announced its team captains for this week’s game against UAB.
The Vols will be led by 4 captains: linebacker Ben Bolton, cornerback Jalen McMurray, wide receiver Braylon Staley, and defensive lineman Tyree Weathersby.

Tennessee is coming off a massive game against Georgia, where it lost on a last-second touchdown in overtime. Considering how well Tennessee played in the game, the loss was a gut punch. They are about to play against UAB on Saturday and are in desperate need of a bounce-back after the way they lost the game.
Staley has been one of Tennessee’s best offensive players so far this season. He’s Tennessee’s second-leading receiver with 231 yards and 2 touchdowns this season, trailing only Chris Brazzell in both of those categories.
UAB is 2-1 entering this matchup having already defeated Akron and Alabama State. The Blazers lost to Navy back in Week 2.
The nonconference matchup on the SEC Network will kick off at 12:45 p.m. ET.
