Tennessee has announced it has scheduled its first ever football series with BYU. The home-and-home series is scheduled to be played in 2019 and 2023.

BYU will travel to Neyland Stadium Sept. 7, 2019, with Tennessee making the return trip to BYU’s LaVell Edwards Stadium either Sept. 1 or Sept. 2 in 2023.

Tennessee has now filled out its 2019 non-conference schedule, as BYU joins Georgia State (Aug. 31), Chattanooga (Sept. 14) and UAB (Nov. 2) as the other non-conference games on the UT slate.

BYU finished 9-4 in 2016 and beat Mississippi State at home, 28-21 in double overtime. Also of note, Tennessee has never played a game in the state of Utah.
