Tennessee baseball continued its torrid start to league play Saturday, blanking Florida in a 3-0 road win.
This time around, the offense was in short supply. The big blow came via a 2-run home run from Drew Gilbert in the 6th inning. A solo home run from Luc Lipcius was the only other run scored.

On the mound, Blade Tidwell got the start and hurled 4.2 scoreless innings. Tidwell scattered 2 hits with 5 strikeouts against the Gators.
Tennessee turned to Camden Sewell out of the bullpen, and he was equally magnificent. Sewell went 4.1 scoreless without surrendering a hit and closed it out with a dominant 9th inning by striking out the side.
With the win, the Vols are now 16-1 in SEC play which ties the best start to conference play in league history. That mark ties Tennessee’s record start from the 1951 season.
