Tennessee baseball is mixing things up for Friday night’s game in Lexington. The Volunteers are going “dark mode” for Game 2 of the series against the Kentucky Wildcats.

The No. 1 Vols are looking to bounce back on Friday after suffering just their third loss of the 2022 SEC season. Kentucky took Game 1 of the series 3-2 in 13 innings on Thursday night.

UT has yet to lose an SEC series this season, having gone 41-5 overall and 19-3 in conference play entering Friday’s game. Tony Vitello’s squad came back to win the series April 15-17 against Alabama after dropping the opener, Tennessee’s first SEC loss of the year. Last weekend, Auburn took Game 2 against UT, but the Volunteers won the rubber game to take the series.

Friday’s game was originally scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. ET, but the teams are currently in a lightning delay at Kentucky Proud Park. The game is scheduled to be streamed on SEC Network+.
