Tennessee basketball has reportedly picked up a commitment on the transfer circuit.
Gary Parrish of CBS Sports reports, per a source, that Oregon’s Victor “VJ” Bailey Jr. is heading to Rocky Top. While Bailey has not been actively tweeting recently, he has updated his Twitter profile to say “Tennesse Basketball #12” along with a header photo of UT’s home court, indicating Parrish’s source is correct.
Bailey recently completed his sophomore season with the Ducks and made the decision to transfer out in April. As of right now, Bailey would sit out the 2019-20 season have two years of eligibility remaining beginning with the 2020-21 campaign. This past season, 7.4 points, 2.0 rebounds per game in 37 appearances, including eight starts. He shot 39.8 percent from behind the three-point line. Bailey notably did not appear in Oregon’s Sweet Sixteen clash with Virginia.
A 4-star point guard out of Austin, Texas in the class of 2017, Bailey committed to Oregon in October 2016. He is listed at 6-4, 190 pounds on the Oregon roster.
