Tennessee sophomore defensive tackle Shy Tuttle will reportedly miss spring practice and could be out through next August, according to 99.1 FM Knoxville host Jimmy Hyams.

His knee injury suffered earlier this season against South Carolina is, per Hyams, “worse than last year’s” season-ending broken fibula and ankle ligament injuries:

Tuttle (6-foot-2, 310 pounds) was a four-star prospect from the 2015 class. According to CFBReference.com, he has recorded 19 tackles (one for loss) and two pass deflections in 11 appearances his first two seasons on campus.
