Tennessee fan drills OSU cheerleaders in disastrous kick on College GameDay
Tennessee fans are in full force in Columbus on Saturday. The Volunteer fans are ecstatic to watch their team in the College Football Playoff for the first time, and College GameDay is also in Columbus for the much-anticipated matchup.
One of the staples of GameDay is the field goal challenge hosted by Pat McAfee. Fans from the crowd are picked out each week to attempt a FG for an exorbitant amount of money. Almost always, the fans are unable to make the kick.
However, the attempt on Saturday by a Tennessee fan named J.D. just might be the worst attempt we’ve ever seen.
The Tennessee fan kicked the ball directly into a crowd of Ohio State cheerleaders about 10 feet away. It was a horrendous attempt, and McAfee couldn’t help but make fun of it.
“Oh, this guy sucks,” said McAfee. “Holy Hell. That was the worst we’ve ever seen.”
J.D. was given another chance as fans often receive in this challenge. The 2nd try wasn’t much better, but at least this one didn’t hit anybody.
“This guy sucks at kicking,” McAfee declared after the 2nd attempt.
The fan then received a handshake from McAfee and the segment ended without a winning kick once again. A fan hit the FG when GameDay went to Cal and 2 fans won when GameDay went to Georgia.
Hopefully, J.D.’s favorite team will perform better than he did on GameDay. The Vols and Buckeyes will kick off from Ohio Stadium at 8:00 p,m. ET. The winner will face Oregon in the quarterfinals.
