May has been an incredible month for Jeremy Pruitt’s program on the recruiting trail and it just got better as the nation’s No. 1 ranked junior college linebacker has just committed to Tennessee.

Lakia Henry of Dodge City Community College commits to the Vols following a recent visit to Tennessee’s campus. Following his visit to Knoxville, Henry made trips to Nebraska and Ole Miss before announcing his public commitment.

The 6-foot-1, 227-pound Henry is rated as a four-star prospect and the No. 3 overall JUCO prospect in the nation by 247Sports. He currently holds scholarship offers from Alabama, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, and Nebraska among others.

He shared his commitment via Twitter:

Henry has three years to play two in Knoxville, meaning he can redshirt if necessary and would still have an additional two years to play for the Volunteers.

Following this commitment, Tennessee jumps five spots in the 2019 team recruiting class rankings to No. 15 in the nation. The Vols now has eight commitments in the class.

Henry jumps in Tennessee’s boat following the commitments of five-star OL Wanya Morris, three-star TE Sean Brown, and four-star WR Ramel Keyton.
