Tennessee lands commitment from OL out of Georgia

Josh Heupel’s Tennessee staff went into Georgia to land a new commitment for the Volunteers’ 2022 recruiting class.

Maurice “Mo” Clipper from Alpharetta, Georgia announced his pledge to UT on Saturday. The Milton standout has picked up 17 scholarship offers. In June, he visited Tennessee, Louisville and Virginia Tech.

Listed at 6-4, 299, Clipper is rated 3-stars, the No. 74 Georgia recruit and No. 791 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2022 on the 247Sports Composite. Though he plays tackle, he is rated as the No. 39 interior offensive line prospect. His recruiting profile lists Georgia and Mississippi State among his other offers.

Clipper says he did not allow a sack or get flagged for a penalty in his junior season. Highlights from that season can be viewed below:
