Oden is considered to be the No. 160 player in the country and the No. 16 Athlete, as well as the No. 5 player from the state of Michigan according to 247Sports composite rankings.
Oden was used as a safety, outside corner and wide receiver, among other positions at Harper Woods high school in Detroit. As of now, many expect Oden to stay in-state and commit to Mel Tucker and Michigan State, as he has taken 3 unofficial visits to East Lansing.
