Although the outcome certainly wasn’t desired, the atmosphere was absolutely electric Saturday night in Neyland Stadium.

Oklahoma ended up beating Tennessee in double-overtime, but public address announcer Jeff Jarnigan announced the home crowd set a new record for noise. At one point in the first half — it’s unclear when — the noise hit 114 decibels, the loudest noise ever recorded in Neyland’s 94-year history.

Although Tennessee let the Sooners off the hook, building a 17-0 lead, there’s much to be excited about on Rocky Top. A young team packed full of talent and a rabid fan base that desperately wants to be elite again, what’s not to love about Tennessee football?
