The No. 24 Tennessee Volunteers are set to kick off their 2025 campaign Saturday at noon against the Syracuse Orange down in Atlanta at the iconic Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
In a clash of sides that have long been known for wearing their own unique shades of orange, the week 1 SEC vs. ACC matchup will have plenty of the color in the stands. The Vols, in particular, will be donning their iconic orange tops, as the team officially announced they will be wearing their home uniforms in the game.
The Vols’ traditional home uniform set also includes their white bottoms and legendary white helmet with the power-T logo emblazoned across the sides. This may be a very classic look for the Volunteers, but Josh Heupel’s team will look very different from the one that made a trip to the College Football Playoffs last season.
The departure of former 5-star quarterback Nico Iamaleava due to an NIL dispute with the team led to the two sides parting ways, leaving a massive hole under center for Heupel’s offense. Former App State QB Joey Aguilar filled that void on the offense, but now he’ll have to prove he can perform in the time-tested Rocky Top home uniform.
