Tennessee softball advanced to the WCWS National Semifinals Sunday afternoon, downing Oklahoma State 3-1 behind an incredible complete-game performance from senior pitcher Ashley Rogers.

Rogers threw over 135 pitches Sunday, allowing just 1 run in the form of a solo shot off the bat of Morgyn Wynne in the 6th inning. She finished allowing just 4 hits with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts.

The win means the Lady Vols will face Florida State Monday, having to beat the Seminoles twice to advance to the WCWS Final against one of Stanford or Oklahoma.

Zaida Puni and Rylee West plated 2 runs for the Lady Vols in the 3rd inning. Puni started things off with an RBI Double to left field before West drove in a run with an RBI single.

A pair of errors scored Tennessee’s 3rd and final run of the evening in the 5th inning, with OK State catcher Taylor Tuck missing a pickoff attempt at 2nd, allowing Puni to walk across home plate.

Monday’s matchup against Florida State is set for first pitch at 7 p.m. ET.
