Former Mississippi State DL Jeffery Simmons may be several months away from returning to the field as he rehabs a torn ACL.
However, on Wednesday, he did at least agree to contract terms with his new NFL team, the Tennessee Titans, who chose him with the No. 19 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
The Titans announced the deal with Simmons on Wednesday, which means they’ve now signed four of their six 2019 picks.
Rookie deals are four years, with a team option for a fifth season. What the financial terms are on Simmons’ deal is unknown at this time.
Now, he can focus on his rehab and not worry about the contractual stuff for another few seasons.
