Tennessee and Alabama is one of the best rivalries in the SEC and in all of college football, as the ‘Third Saturday in October’ tends to be deliver some incredible football games. It was no different on Saturday, as the Volunteers picked up a huge 24-17 victory against the Crimson Tide.
As the case with any rivalry, there is a lot of friendly, or unfriendly, trash talk, and the Volunteers decided to play some Dixieland Delight to troll their rivals.

The song is traditionally played at Alabama home games at some point in the 4th quarter, regardless of the score. It is usually a good sign for Alabama fans to hear that song, but on Saturday night it was a just a reminder of the Crimson Tide’s 2nd loss in 3 games.
This was a big game for both of these teams as they are looking to build their respective College Football Playoff résumés. The Volunteers schedule looked really good before the season, but the wins against NC State and Oklahoma aren’t what they were at the time of the win.
Tennessee didn’t have any wins against current Top 25 teams until Saturday, so getting the win against Alabama was huge.
