It looks like the Vols will be without at least one defender on Saturday.
It was announced Thursday by the team that sophomore DB Baylen Buchanan is officially ruled out for Saturday’s game against Indiana State due to an ankle injury. He was injured in the season opening victory over Georgia Tech Monday night.
Buchanan recorded 20 tackles as a freshman last season with one PBU. While he did not register a stat against the Yellow Jackets, he is listed as a game participant from Monday night.
Jimmy Hyams shared the Vols injury report on Twitter:

The Volunteers were facing a short week after playing their season opener on a Monday. Hopefully, one more week of rest is all that Buchanan will require.
