Marcel Reed is reportedly going to be without the gem of the Texas A&M Aggies’ 2025 recruiting class this year.

On Monday afternoon, On3’s Pete Nakos reported that wide receiver Jerome Myles would be sidelined for the entirety of the 2025 season due to injury. According to KBTX News, the true freshman suffered a “lower body” injury.

Myles, a native of Draper, UT, joined the Aggies from Corner Canyon High School. The incredibly talented wideout was the No. 19 2025 recruit on the 247Sports Composite and the top player in Utah. He is Texas A&M’s 27th-best recruit all-time, per 247Sports’ own rankings.

Today’s news continues a troubling trend for Myles, who missed significant time in both 2023 and 2024 with injury. He made just eight appearances combined in his high school junior and senior seasons. However, when he was on the field, he dominated. In those contests, Myles posted 28 receptions, 732 yards — 26.1 yards per catch — and 10 touchdowns. Prior to a season-ending ACL injury in his third game a year ago, he carried Corner Canyon to an upset of IMG Academy with five receptions for 122 yards and 3 touchdowns.

It’s clear that, when healthy, Myles can be a true difference-maker. Here’s hoping for all the best in his recovery efforts so we can see him shine in 2026 and beyond.
