Texas A&M fans may be most concerned with the 2025 class when it comes to recruiting, but the Aggie coaching staff recruits beyond the next signing class.

On Monday, Texas A&M received a big-time verbal pledge for its 2026 class. Xavier Tiller, a blue-chip tight end prospect, announced his plans to play college football in Aggieland.

Out of Langston Hughes High School in Fairburn, Georgia, Tiller is listed as measuring 6-4, 212 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Tiller is rated 4-stars, the No. 4 tight end, No. 11 Peach State prospect and No. 79 recruit overall in the Class of 2026.

As one would expect, Tiller drew strong interest as an elite tight end prospect with impressive size in his junior season. Before announcing his commitment to Texas A&M, Tiller had picked up scholarship offers from 29 programs. Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Mississippi State, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas were among the other programs to show interest in Tiller.

With Tiller on board, Texas A&M now has 8 early public commitments for the 2026 recruiting class, which ranks No. 1 nationally on the Composite. Aggie fans can get a preview of what Tiller brings to Mike Elko’s program by checking out his highlights in the Hudl clip below:
