Texas A&M just won a significant recruiting battle in the Lone Star State.

The Aggies earned a commitment from 3-star offensive tackle Avery Morcho on Wednesday. He had offers from programs such as TCU, SMU, Houston, Texas Tech, Florida State, Mizzou and Arizona state, amongst others.

Morcho is a big pickup for Texas A&M in this class. He’s the No. 489 overall player and the No. 40 offensive tackle in the country for this cycle, per 247Sports Composite rankings. It’s possible he will earn 4-star status before the end of this recruiting cycle.

Morcho attends Ridge Point High School in Missouri City, Texas. He’s listed at a massive 6-foot-6, 295 pounds.

Morcho took an official visit to College Station earlier this month. He also made a trip to TCU to check out that campus prior to making this decision.

Texas A&M has the makings of an elite recruiting class. The Aggies are now up to 20 commitments in the class of 2026. The group ranks No. 3 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings. A&M is expected to add even more blue-chip recruits over the coming weeks and months before the Early Signing Period in December.
