Texas A&M will see one of its 5-star signees look at his options to continue his college football career elsewhere. Freshman DB Denver Harris announced Friday that he is entering the NCAA transfer portal.

Harris made the announcement via social media.

Harris played in 5 games as a true freshman, giving him 3 full seasons of remaining eligibility. His last appearance came on Oct. 8 against Alabama, in which he recorded a season-high 4 tackles.

On Oct. 25, Harris was identified by ESPN’s Chris Low as one of the 3 Texas A&M players who had been suspended indefinitely by Aggies coach Jimbo Fisher due to a postgame locker room incident. WR Chris Marshall and OL PJ Williams were also named in the report.

Harris finished the season with 14 tackles and 3 pass breakups. Out of North Shore High School in Houston, Harris was rated 5-stars and the No. 23 overall prospect in the 2022 recruiting class. He chose Texas A&M over 37 other scholarship offers.
