Texas A&M officials are dealing with a bomb threat at Kyle Field Thursday afternoon.

On Twitter, Texas A&M shared an announcement via the Code Maroon emergency alert system:

TAMU.edu details that the stadium and the Bright Building are being evacuated and that everyone is asked to avoid the area. Texas A&M police are searching the facilities, per The Eagle.

Texas A&M football is off in Week 7 after a 3-3 start through the first 6 weeks of the 2022 season. Per Travis L. Brown of The Eagle, the Aggies had been scheduled to hit the practice field at 2 p.m. CT. Brown also added photos of the current scene around the stadium.

Jimbo Fisher’s squad returns to the field in Week 8, traveling to Columbia to face annual SEC East crossover opponent South Carolina.

The next football game in Kyle Field is scheduled for Week 9 when Ole Miss visits College Station. Lane Kiffin’s Rebels are currently ranked No. 9 in the AP Top 25.
