Texas A&M is heading into Week 2 and its second game of the Mike Elko era. The Aggies are still in search of their first win of the season, but this weekend provides a great chance to turn things around.
On Thursday, A&M released its uniform combination for the weekend ahead, and it will be a classic look for the program. The Aggies will go with their maroon helmets and jerseys to go with white pants for a visit from McNeese State.

In the season opener, A&M hung around and gave Notre Dame all it could handle in a marquee matchup. Unfortunately, Marcus Freeman’s Fighting Irish scored 10 points in the final 1:54 of the game to come away with the 23-13 win to open the season.
While A&M played Notre Dame to the wire, there were plenty of concerns from the performance. Starting quarterback Conner Weigman was just 12-of-30 throwing the ball with 100 yards and 2 interceptions. The Aggies also averaged less than 4 yards per carry on the ground, so they’ll be looking for a spark moving forward.
Heading into Saturday, ESPN’s Football Power Index gives the Aggies a 98.6% chance of walking away with the win, so this should be a great opportunity for Elko’s first win leading the program.
