Texas A&M picked up a big-time commitment in the class of 2025 on Saturday night.

The Aggies landed 4-star safety prospect Deyjhon Pettaway over several other top programs from across the country. Pettaway chose Texas A&M over offers from places such as Ohio State, Georgia and Miami, amongst others.

Here’s his commitment announcement:

Pettaway is a huge addition to Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class. He’s the No. 138 overall player and the No. 11 safety in the country for the class of 2025, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 24 player from the state of Texas.

Pettaway attends Paetow High School in Katy, Texas. He’s listed at 5-foot-10, 175 pounds. Pettaway has not yet made his official visit to College Station, but he has taken multiple trips to campus on unofficial visits over the last year.
