Texas A&M was on the road on Saturday night taking on a desperate LSU team that was looking to remain in the College Football Playoff race. The Aggies controlled much of the first half, but two interceptions and a blocked punt allowed the Tigers to take an 18-14 lead into the half.
Whatever Mike Elko and the Aggies staff told their players at the half worked, as the team erupted for 21 points in the third quarter to take a commanding lead.
As the team walked to the sidelines at the end of the 3rd quarter, they went and started pointed celebrating with their fans.
The ABC broadcast captured the moment:
LSU fans on the other hand, were starting to hit the exits a little early.
The Aggies are looking to finally push through and make it to the SEC Championship and the CFP, and they are in a great position to do just that. After having special teams issues in the first half, the Aggies fixed that. Terry Bussey started the second half with a 43-yard kickoff return. Then, later in the quarter KC Concepcion returned a punt for a 79-yard touchdown.
Texas A&M has shown the past few weeks it can win a game in any different style. If the Aggies continue playing like they did on Saturday night, there may be more stadium takeovers in their future.
