The Texas A&M Aggies made their first College Football Playoff appearance in 2025. It was a big step in the program’s history, but they don’t want it to be a blip on the radar. On Monday, they landed a commitment that should help make that a reality.
Kaeden Scott, a 4-star offensive lineman in the 2027 recruiting class, has committed to Texas A&M. The San Antonio native announced the news himself on Twitter/X.
Scott, a 6-foot-6, 275 lb. tackle, is the No. 184 overall prospect in the 2027 recruiting class, according to 247Sports’ Composite rankings. He is the No. 20 offensive tackle and No. 26 player in the state of Texas.
The Aggies now have 10 commits for the 2027 class. They currently have the No. 2 class in the country for 2027, trailing only Oklahoma. 247Sports’ Composite team rankings for 2027 list 9 4-star prospects for Texas A&M, 2 more than the next closest team (Notre Dame).
While there’s still plenty of time for Scott and the Aggies’ other commits to change their mind, there’s no denying that Mike Elko is off to a strong start in the 2027 recruiting realm. He’ll have to continue finding and developing quality players for Texas A&M to remain in the CFP hunt. The Aggies open their 2026 season versus Missouri State on Sept. 5.
