Texas A&M has quietly put together a very good run during the 2024 college football season after losing its opener at home against Notre Dame. Since then, they have won 5 consecutive games and are still undefeated in SEC play.
Coach Mike Elko is turning things around on the field in College Station, and that is helping the Aggies on the recruiting trail.
On Thursday afternoon, 4-star quarterback Helaman Casuga announced his commitment to Texas A&M.

Casuga picked the Aggies over USC, Auburn, Tennessee and Washington among others. Last year, he threw for 4,145 yards and 34 touchdowns at Corner Canyon in Draper, Utah.
According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, he is the No. 173 prospect in the country. He is the No. 14 quarterback in the class and the fourth highest rated prospect in Utah.
With Casuga signing, the Aggies now have their 3rd commit in the 2026 class. The other 2 players are defensive backs Markel Ford and Ryan Gilbert.
Offensive coordinator Collin Klein played a huge role in the recruiting process to get him, as he was a Heisman trophy candidate as a quarterback during his playing days at Kansas State.
The Aggies are back in action on Saturday as they travel to Starkville to take on Mississippi State. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:15 p.m. ET on the SEC Network.
