Texas A&M just picked up a major addition to its 2026 recruiting class.

The Aggies have landed a commitment from 4-star edge Tristian Givens. He chose Texas A&M over programs like Tennessee and Washington while having offers from some of the best defensive coaching staffs in the entire country.

“I’m home. Recruitment shut down,” Givens told On3’s Hayes Fawcett:

Givens is an elite prospect. He’s the No. 61 overall player and the No. 7 edge in the country for the 2026 recruiting class, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also regarded as the No. 6 player from the state of Georgia.

Givens attends Carver High School in Columbus, Georgia. He’s listed at 6-foot-3, 215 pounds. He was on the heels of an official visit to College Station when he made this announcement. Texas A&M initially offered him on a scholarship more than a year ago — way back in April of 2024.

Mike Elko and his coaching staff appear to be putting together an absolutely elite recruiting class in 2026. Givens makes 19 commits so far for the Aggies in this cycle. Texas A&M’s group currently ranks No. 2 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

The Early Signing Period for the class of 2026 is in December.
