Texas A&M lands commitment from Jackson State transfer LB

Texas A&M has made a big-time pickup for its 2023 roster.
Jackson State transfer Jurriente Davis, one of the top linebackers available in the portal, announced Thursday that he will continue his college football career with the Aggies.

Davis announced on March 28 he would be entering the NCAA transfer portal. This month, he visited Kentucky and Texas A&M while also picking up offers from Louisville, UCF and Oklahoma.
He committed to play for Jimbo Fisher’s program days after his visit to College Station.

Davis is well-traveled. He has previously played for Hutchinson Community College in Kansas, Middle Tennessee State and Jackson State.
In 2022 at Jackson State, Davis totaled 58 tackles, including 38 solo stops and 7.5 TFLs. His defensive stats also include 1 sack, 1 forced fumble and 1 pass breakup.
